Borokibok, or sometimes Borikibok has been a household name for my friends. Since we couldn't afford to go to a fancy beach resort because of our number (one truckful), we would usually end up spending our post-highschool summer vacation in Bucay's hidden natural gem, the Borokibok Springs.

Anyhow, I don't know if the local government implements any environmental protection law in the area. The last time I visited it, some people still bathe in the natural springs liberally using soap and shampoo. Obviously, soap and shampoo contain chemicals that can greatly affect our rivers and its aquatic wildlife. Worse, others leave garbages such as empty shampoo sachets, candy wrappers and even sanitary napkins. Ay, apo!
